The Homeplace Builders’ office is located at 300 McReynolds, Carthage, NC 28327 in the newly renovated Humber-Spencer Historic home in Carthage, NC. Homeplace Builders purchased this historic home in 2021 and took on the extensive task of restoring this local landmark. The home was in dire need of renovation and took over a year to complete.

Under Fernando Silva’s leadership, the home has been brought back to life and is now a focal point in the downtown area of Carthage. The home was introduced to the community and even descendants of the previous owners in December, 2022 and their positive response was overwhelming. The descendants and their childhood friends applauded the restoration as memories of time spent in the home flooded their thoughts. Homeplace Builders achieved its goal - retain the aura of the historic home while bringing it into the current more modern lifestyle.

 

Homeplace Builders became so attached to the home and its desire to establish its office in Carthage, that they moved their office to the Humber-Spencer home in January 2023.
